News Story

Over the past few years, we have been on a significant journey - transitioning from National Theatre Wales to TEAM Collective Cymru, a new organisation with fresh perspective, ideals and plans for the future. It has been a period of real change, creativity, challenge and resilience. We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped shape this new chapter.

Over recent months, the Board of Trustees has undertaken a vital strategic restructure to secure the long-term, sustainable future of the charity. We know that the past few years have involved considerable transition, and this next step is not taken lightly. However, in the current context, we believe it is the responsible course of action. Our aim is to protect the core of our mission and place TEAM Collective Cymru in the strongest possible position for the future.

With this in mind, a decision has been made about how our organisation and it's roles need to evolve moving forward. This change marks our move towards a more agile and focused structure. The decision has been made with purpose, positioning TEAM Collective Cymru to continue delivering creative impact across Cymru - supporting artists, young people and communities, and connecting voices through collaboration, performance and the arts.

We would like to thank Naomi Chiffi (Director of Collaboration) for her work at TEAM Collective Cymru during this important period of transition. Naomi has led and supported a number of our creative projects, including Immersive Schools, engaging young people across Cardiff, and helping to strengthen collaboration, creativity, and community engagement, leading on TEAM and Young collectives. Her passion and commitment across her work as part of TEAM and previous years at National Theatre Wales is something the company will always remain truly grateful for.

‘After eleven unforgettable years, I’m stepping away from TEAM Collective Cymru with a heavy heart. It’s been a privilege to nurture artists and projects and collaborate with communities, schools and creatives across Wales and beyond. I remain inspired by those championing access to arts and culture as a right for all. With thanks to ACW for supporting TEAM within NTW’s legacy - I’m proud of my part in its journey and am excited for future collaborations. Diolch i bawb am bopeth.’ - Naomi Chiffi

The Board of Trustees wish Naomi every deserved success in her future.
